

Hi Linda, could you tell me what does Delia recommend if you want to freeze her traditional apple pie.
Bake first and then freeze or bake from frozen and how to adjust temperature and timing?

Hello Kevin,
You can do it either way round but we prefer to bake, cool and then freeze.
Freeze for up to 3 months. Defrost, unwrapped, but covered, overnight in the fridge. If serving hot, Reheat the defrosted pie at 190°C for 30 minutes until piping hot.
If you have frozen it raw, then cook it from frozen but allow an additional 30 minutes.
