Hello,
I have some French friends visiting in a couple of weeks and want to freeze a few dishes to save time. Could you tell me please Is it Ok to freeze the chicken paprika? And if so how long does it take to defrost? Also any other ideas for simple dishes to impress that I could freeze? British would be great!
Thank you Marie

Hello,
Yes you can freeze chicken paprika…. Make the recipe omitting the crème fraîche, and cool at room temperature. Freeze in a rigid container with lid for up to 3 months. Defrost overnight in the fridge. To reheat, place in an ovenproof container and cover with foil. Bake at gas mark 4, 180°C for 30-40 minutes until thoroughly hot, adding a little more liquid if necessary to prevent drying out. Ensure it is piping hot and add crème fraîche before serving.
Other recipes you could do are…
Irish Stew with Dumplings
Kidneys in Fresh Tomato Sauce
Slow Braised Belly Pork with Bacon, Apples and Cider
Bangers Braised in Cider
Steak and Kidney Pudding with Steak and Kidney Gravy
Oxtail Braised in Guinness
Beef Stew with Crusted Onion Dumplings
Steak and Kidney Hot Pot with Dumplings
Venison Sausages Braised in Red Wine
Best wishes
Lindsey
