Whilst not a question re a specific recipe, my query concerns ingredient sourcing for the fruit cake recipes. I spend a great deal of time de-stalking currants/raisins before including in mixtures. Mainly to prevent the annoying instance of the stalks catching in ones teeth when eating the cake. I have tried various brands of dried fruit to avoid the problem but to no avail. Can you recommend a source or some kind of answer to my query. I don't wish to sound over fussy but this is annoying to me.
