

I made the Cheat's lemon gateau, using double amounts and poured the lemon juice in one go and it's curdled! Carried on making the cake but you can see clumps of what looks like butter. Shall I throw it out or will it be OK to eat? Anything I should do? I put it in the freezer since it's to be eaten in 6 days. Should I have added the lemon juice slowly?

Delia does say in the recipe not to worry if it curdles but as you’ve doubled it perhaps its curdled more!
As far as I can see this recipe is not suitable for freezing but as it’s for such a short time perhaps it will be ok.
