I always had an Aga which was easy Now I only have one oven, so how do I manage roast potatoes at the same time as a slow cooked lamb joint?

Hello Caroline,
You have a few options that you could think about …
Cook the lamb, then increase the heat of the oven and cook the potatoes.
Half cook the potatoes before you cook the lamb and then finish cooking the potatoes whilst the lamb sits covered in a warm place and then pop the lamb in the bottom of the hot oven for the last 10—15 minutes.
Do steamed new potatoes instead.
Do Boulangeres potatoes but cook them for much longer on the lower shelf under the lamb (2 hours perhaps) and then when the lamb has had its time, increase the heat to finish cooking / brown off the Boulangeres.
