

I make the traditional Christmas Pudding recipe every year and is is much enjoyed by my family. I normally steam the pudding but have a new induction hob which overheats and switches off after a relatively short time. I was wondering if I could steam the pudding in a slow cooker. Any advise would be much appreciated.

It sounds like your induction hob has a fault!
We do not have a slow cooker but I would suggest 8 hours on high, with boiling water poured into the slow cooker so that it comes half way up the pudding basin.
Then reheat in the same way for 2 1/4 hours.
