

When making the recipe for the traditional Christmas cake I would like to divide the mixture into loaf tins and then sell them at a coffee morning for a local charity. How long should the cakes be cooked for if loaf size?

Presumably you will protect the outsides of the tins with brown paper and cover the tops.
We haven’t tested them baked in loaf tins but I would suggest you start checking them after an hour but I think they could take up to two hours to bake.
