Cherry Cake was too oily

Hi,I have just baked the cherry cake and when I took it from the oven the bottom of the cake was very oily can you tell me what I done wrong?

Hello,
It may be that you tin was buttered too generously or that you mistakenly added too much butter or that the soft butter was too warm when you mixed it.
