

Some of Delia’s recipes I have looked at have Morello cherries in the recipe. Can you advise where I may find these?

Hello,
Morello (or sour) cherries were readily available when Delia developed the recipes but they have been less easy to source over the past few years. I’m always looking out for them and pick them up whenever I spot them. I’ve found then in supermarkets, deli’s and online.
Sometimes I’ve substituted frozen, tinned, bottled and fresh, and I’ve even used dried sour cherries which I simmer in fruit juice or water and then leave them to plump up overnight.
I don’t know where you shop but if I see them, I’ll post again.
