Hi. I have made my traditional Christmas pudding but have yet to steam them (finding 8 hours) - can I keep the puddings to steam at a later date? Do they keep “in-steamed”?

Hello,
We always steam the pudding as soon as we add the flour. This is mainly because the raising agent in the flour starts working as soon as it gets wet.
However as there is such a small amount if flour in the pudding I wouldn’t worry too much as the pudding will expand and lighten during the long steaming.
