Burnt but underbaked Christmas Cake

My cake in a 2lb loaf tin is dark brown / burnt on the outside but raw in the middle. How do I correct this?

Hello,

I don’t think you can correct the cake you have made.

Perhaps you could trim away the burnt edges and serve it as a hot pudding with brandy cream – a bit like spiced bread pudding.
