Hello Lindsey
In Delia's recipe for Italian chocolate nut Christmas cake the recipe refers to "whole blanched hazelnuts''. I have never blanched hazelnuts before and would like to ask how I should do this.
Thank you ever so much,
Patricia

Hello Patricia,
Blanched hazelnuts are the whole skinned ones that you buy as opposed to the ones that can buy with their brown skins on.
If you can’t buy hazelnuts that are already blanched / skinned you can do it yourself but it’s much easier to by them already shinned.
Best wishes
Lindsey
