Delia’s Easter Simnel Cake.
If I want to make two cakes in 6” tins instead of one in an 8” tin can I just use the same amount of ingredients (as given in Delia’s recipe for an 8” cake) and divide the mixture between the two 6”tins?
Also what would the cooking temperature and timing be for the 6” cakes.

Yes, I would divide the 8 inch recipe between two 6 inch tins.
I think it will need about 1 hour 15 minutes but make sure it springs back when lightly pressed to check its baked. Same temperature using gas or conventional top and bottom heat.
