Making a half size light glacé Christmas cake... how should I adjust the cooking times/ temperature please?
Lindsey, Food Editor replied
Hello,
We haven’t baked one that size but I would do 45 minutes at 170C (150 fan) the cover and 1 ¼ hours at 150C (130 fan).
Kind regards
Lindsey

I actually went for it instinctively before your reply reached me; brand new fan oven 50 mins @ 160, then covered the top and finished with 1.5 hours @ 140. It was a little well done at the edges, but not wildly so, and the rest was perfect. Now to commence feeding with 50/50 rum and whisky for the next few weeks!
