Hello Yank,
Rich fruit cake can be cut and eaten as soon as it’s absolutely cold.
It is a moist cake. However, it shouldn’t be wet or sticky, if it is it is probably undercooked.
Is your cake more moist towards the centre or does the cake look the same all the way through?
Kind regards
Lindsey
Hi thanks for replying so quick it is not wet but sticky towards the centre. When the cooking time was up the skewer came out clean. Would you recommend I cook the next one a bit longer. Thanks once again Yank
Hello,
Yes, I’d cook it longer. Until it springs back when lightly pressed in the centre with your finger.
Best wishes
Lindsey
Thank you. I will let you know how my next one turns out. Yank
