About the alcohol in Christmas Cake

Will the alcohol in the soaked fruit for my Christmas cake burn off and evaporate during cooking? My 21 month old will want to eat some of this so need to check this. Thanks

I think that most of the alcohol will burn off.
Perhaps make something else for your little one or make your Christmas cake with a substitute for the alcohol. Grape or orange juice will work!
