Hi, I've just been given a copy of Delia's 'Complete How to cook' Book. In it she stresses the importance of using the correct size tin for baking cakes. A few recipes use a 10" x 6" tin. I can't find this size tin for sale anywhere. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Alison.
A must-have in any kitchen is a good set of bakeware, and what better than Delia's own range, made in the UK to her own specification. This month, we have a full set to giveaway with our exclusive competition in association with Grana Padano.

Hello Alison,
I’m guessing that you are referring to a cake recipe? If you are, most of Delia’s cake recipes were retested for Delia’s Cakes book to make sure they worked with a range of tins that are well made and readily available.
The cake tins we use are made by Silverwood. They are currently closed but our friends at Art of Living also sell them. The oblong tin that we use is available here.
This is the tin we use to make the Preserved Ginger Cake which is in How to Cook and The Cakes Book.
Preserved Ginger Cake
Best wishes
