Hello Lindsey,
My grandma is coming to visit for Easter and I would like to make one of Delia's showstopping recipes for our dessert. I am 16, love baking but wanting to try new things now I have the basic techniques down (thanks to Delia's Online Cooking School!) - do you have any suggestions?
Thank you,
Ruby

Hello Ruby,
I’m so pleased that you’ve been using the Online Cookery School.
It’s a good time for rhubarb so perhaps one of these…
Rhubarb, Almond and Ginger Crumble
Rhubarb and Ginger Brulee
Or perhaps something with chocolate as it’s Easter…
Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding
You can omit the rum in the Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding and increase the cream to 500ml. Also, you can mix double and single cream if you cannot get whipping cream.
Squidgy Cake *Flourless*
Or you could make a pavlova! It’s a bit early for strawberries but you could do passionfruit instead. Or mango, kiwi and passionfruit is good too.
Lesson 6. Custard, Meringues and Pavlova
For me the show-stopper recipe would be the Squidgy Chocolate cake!
Lesson 8. Chocolate Cakes
Feel free to ask more questions if you’d like to.
Best wishes
Lindsey
Hi Lindsey,
Thank you so much for these suggestions. I ended up making the Chocolate Bread & Butter Pudding - my word, it was delicious! Will definitely be on the list to make again :)
Just if you have any ideas, we have got some leftover lamb from our roast dinner? A small plate is left if you can think of a way to use it up :)
Thanks Lindsey!
Hello,
Great to hear about the pudding.
We always make Rissoles with left over lamb.
We only have a pork version online. They are similar except they are bound with egg and flavoured with parsley and cinnamon.
Best wishes
Lindsey
