Hello! I am making a 3 tier wedding cake, 6, 8 and 10 inches (round). I am following the traditional christmas cake recipe.
You set out clearly the scaling up requirements for 6 and 8 inches but then the next cake you have is 9 followed by 11 inches. Ie you do not provide the quantum of ingredients for a 10 inch round cake.
Would I arrive at the correct amount of ingredients if I calculated the difference between the 9 and 11 inch cakes, divide in two and then add that number to the 9 inch amounts.
For example Raisins for a 9 inch cake are 225g and for an 11 inch cake are 350. Therefore there is a 125 gram different. Therefore I propose using 225 plus 65 grams - therefore total amount of raisins for a 10 inch cake would be 290 grams?
Is this correct? :-)
