This is going to sound really lazy .. a) as this is a cookery website and b) this is my first posting ... but here goes ... !!
Someone a long time ago made me a no-bake chocolate cake, which I think was basically broken digestive biscuits, chocolate and nuts, which (as the name implies ... even for blondes like me) didn't need baking, just setting in the fridge. Does anyone have a tried and tested recipe for this ... please ... having a chocolate craving ... !!

No, I don't have a recipe for you, just hello and nice to meet you, and you'll find quite a lot of Brits living in France on this site, so you'll find yourself very welcome.

Bonjour et bienvenue de Bretagne, Have a look at Delia's Chocolate Truffle Torte, (in search by the side of Coffee Break Header) although you have to melt over a pan of hot water there is no baking involved I sometimes make a biscuit base and use the recipe to make a topping.

Thanks to everyone - for the welcomes and the recipes ! The Billingtons one in particular looks fab, I'll have to wait for my next trip back to England in August to get the white maltesers (didn't even know they made them ... mmmm ) ... but I'm sure I can do it without them for now. Thanks again ... just got to make sure my culinary skills are up to melting the chocolate Yummy !!

Oh Susan, it's never too hot for chocolate. You could always have chocolate ice cream!
Welcome French Girlie, hope you enjoy yourself round here.

You've come to the exact right place French Girlie - there's a Delia recipe here that's chocolate and crushed digestive biscuits! I made this last summer and it was delicious, it kept well for a couple of days too.

Hi, French Girlie, I often make salame de chocolate,or chocolate salami, so simple and sooo good. Either google chocolate salami or try these links:
www.algarvebuzz .com/chocolate-salami-portuguese-salami-de-chocolate

www.cookingwithpatty.com/recipes/desserts/ChocolateSalami.php

Enjoy,
Amelia
(Oh, by the way, besides the crushed cookies, I also add roughly chopped almonds, walnuts and sultanas, gives it a nice edge.)
