while I was away?
We had a fantastic five days in Paris even though it rained quite a lot of the time.
The first part of last week I spent getting back down to earth (literally!) sorting out the garden-weeding, mowing and all the usual things. Then Thursday, our friends came over to stay for a few days but today I'm home alone and it's lovely!
The sun is shining again today so, after catching up with my mails, I'm out in the garden to oil the wooden furniture-a nice relaxing thing to do in the sunshine.
Back to the bridesmaids' dresses tomorrow-nearly finished them now-just some hand sewing to do.
Hope everyone is well and happy and enjoying some sunshine too.

Hi DQ,
Yes we did miss you....glad to hear you had a good time in Paris although it rained.....sounds like you have been busy since you returned.....
I need to do something with my garden furniture....need to bring it back to its original colour....think I might have to jet spray it first a few times and then deal with varnishing it....
beautiful and sunny here today but sitting in study doing paperwork but with air-con on....so don't mind too much...
hairdresser here at 2.30 then prob out in garden later...
have a good day and don't work too hard...

Of course you we missed you, DQ, I was beginning to wonder if Paris had claimed you, it`s so romantic there......

So it`s back to porridge for you, oiling, sewing, etc. But sure you love that too!!

Glad you had a good time in Paris, I've been to France often on holiday but never been to Paris, I wonder why- must go.

Sadly missed Dq, goes without saying :-)))
Dolly don't varnish it, teak oil or beeswax polish is good enough for the wood on boats, it'll do in gardens. You might have to re-apply a couple of times but it's still less hassle than varnishing, and it feeds the wood.
