What a lovely day we had yesterday. It was Mother's day here in Belgium and my 3 girls treated me to 3 chickens! They are now building a hen house with their Dad. And we ate our first asparagus out of the garden. Shared them with my parents who had come for the day. They were delicious!

What a lovely Mother`s day, Siobhan. Now you can look forward to the eggs, hopefully.

I`m wondering will you let them wander about freely? Maybe you won`t have asparagus too long if you do, as my pal`s choocks love getting into her veg patch!
