Sorry this is probably quite basic, but I've got the Wilton Barbie 'Wonder Mold' tin and I desparately need instructions and a recipe for a tasty chocolate cake for my granddaughter. Can anyone please help?
Hi Savage, here is the recipe I always use when I bake a chocolate cake:
200g Chocolate (bar)
280g sugar
100g flour
125g butter
6 eggs
2 coffespoons baking powder
Whisk de egg yolks with the sugar. Melt au bain-marie the butter with the chocolate and let it cool off a bit.. Add to the egg yolks and the sugar. Whisk the egg whites till rthey are firm and add to the previous mixture (add the chocolate mixture to the egg yolks just before you add the egg whites or else it may become too hard). Add the flour and the baking powder. Pour the mixture in a buttered tin and bake in the oven at 180ºC for 45 minutes. PS - Don't let the chocolate cool off too much or else it will get hard. This is a lovely, moisty chocolate cake which stays good for quite a few days!
I am not sure of a recipe, i thought moulds like that came with a recipe as they are not like 9 round tin size kind of thing.
I have seen the cake in a shop many times thou. Hope it goes all good for you as it seems to be a fidgity and fragile cake mould.
Did it come with instructions? Looking online and ones i have just seen says comes with instructions etc.
