Hi people,

I am looking to buy a new saucepan set and wanted some advice.

I have been thinking of the Ready Steady Cook Saucepan set found here:

Do anyone know if these are good saucepans?

I am looking to spend £60 max and not sure what would be the best for my budget. would i be better off going for aluminium, stainless stell etc?

I have Ceramic Hob and want something that will last a few years and non stick etc.

Thanks for any advice given.

Hello Mat,
I don't know about the RSC saucepans, but I've picked up some very good ones for a reasonable price in TKMaxx - it's more pot luck though what they have in stock!!

I've got these - had them for about 4 or 5 years - and I love them. The 2 main pans don't have big handles - which is great cos they don't stick out - and I throw them all in the dishwasher regularly.

Lydl have some good stainless steel ones this week. I have the steamer and these are just the same quality. The handles and lid don't get hot and they have a good solid bottom.

Take a look on-line at the Harts of Stur site (Stur being Sturminster Newton in Dorset).
They have range of Stellar pans, at 1/2 price generally and are SO helpful - last time I ordered there was no P & P charge either
