sounds industrious Rob...I have covered our pots over this morning as many of the shoots where about 3 inches high.

I know exactly what you know about lettuces, hehehehehe.

My runner beans are flowering already, as are my french beans, my toms are all about 2 foot tall ish.

There is nothing like home grown onions!!!

keep up the good work, and do keep us posted,

Sammy

I used to love doing my grandfathers garden with him until he passed away 6 years ago. We used to plant onions, runner beans, lettuce, tomatoes, herbs etc. I loved it, the taste is so much different and you know it's fresh and not been sprayed with anything etc. I used to like the apple tree he had aswell they never grew big but was tasty. He had a tree not sure what it was in centre of garden for donkeys years and it never blossomed, when he passed away it has blossomed every year since he passed away. My nan is still alive and im sure he is communicating with me to still say he his here and well just can't see him. He always came to me when i went to spiritualist church.

Well done Rob, it's very exciting, isn't it. We have potatoes in and showing life, onions are doing well. We had 12 lettuce which were doing brilliantly but now the slugs have discovered them, 7 left :0(
We have had to sow a 2nd lot of runner beans as the first lot came to nowt, small progress being made. The caulies, planted last year for an early spring harvest may provide something for nest spring !! first time we have grown caulies, probably the last. Red cabbage is looking good, so far. The tarragon we moved over from the UK is doing fine but the french tarragon we bought has been decimated by something. On the up side we have had a Cypriot friend staying for a few days and he has identified many of the snails in the garden as being perfect to eat. Must say that is not something that I will be trying :0)

I hope the tree blossoms for many years Mat. Biggs

Thanks Biggles, Lovely thought. Eating snails YUK certainly not something i would get out of the garden to eat.

I'm off to buy runner bean plants tomorrow Biggs, sometimes they just don't want to get going from seed!
I only got four plants, and the rabbits have had them -
but the peas and broad beans are doing well behind their wire fencing ! Also growing caulis for the first time, but we're not having a cauli competition I hope, yours in France must be better than mine in Yorkshire :-)))

We have a few late stragglers from the 2nd sowing of runner beans Bramble, not good this year. My biggest problem is the sunflowers. I had one and that has now disappeared. How am I going to 'win' the sunflower growing competition with yourself and Crumbs? and anybody else who wants to join in..... Biggs:0(

Could I do this?

No garden, and I cannot possibly touch soil!
