Does anyone know why the flowers keep falling off my pot tomatoes? Or a way to stop it....at this rate I'll have no tomatoes again this year!

hmmmm, interesting...

Where are your tom's kept? could they be knocked off by an animal with an ambitious wagging tail? how are you watering, you should really water them directly near the base of the plant rather than the plant in whole, as that could knock the flowers off, being too harsh. Or are your flowers falling off cos they are ready to drop off to become tom's. do you have a pesky child who likes the pretty flowers? My book doesn't mention anything about flowers dropping off, its more blights and pests and diseases, on the actual fruit and leaf damage caused by frost etc for too early planting out.

Sorry, I hope someone can help you.

OK....more info......they are not being knocked. They are sort of shrivelling and breaking of at a samll joint behind the back of the whole flower. Open flowers, buds and everything, no discrimination. They are indoors...could it be too hot?

If no insects get to pollinate them, they will fall off. Are you using flyspray all the time?
I would put them outdoors for a bit, if you can, and see if that starts them off :-)))

Eeek! (visions of them landing on some poor passer-by!),
what about just leaving the windows open for a bit ?

Don't worry, its a flat roof below so they can't go far. Not as dramatic as it sounded sorry.
