I used to love cooking but I am now disabled due to illness and it became a real chore. I just can't cook like I used to. So, THANK YOU DELIA.
I am so pleased with your book and with the subsequent ideas it has given me. I was really suprised at the quality of some of the tinned products.
Now, with a little help admittedly, I am able to "cook" Delia style. And the mini food processor, is a real boon.
Shepherds Pie - wonderful!
Tarts & pies - sensational!
Cheats Rissoto - sublime!
THANK YOU DELIA for helping me get back into the kitchen. I am sure there are many disabled people who feel the same too. God bless.

It is lovely to read somebody enthusiastic after the sad postings we had when the book first came out, from people who missed the point. Let us hear from you again Uncle Bubbles, if you want to tell us about any of the recipes you've made it will get spotted faster on the How to Cheat board. Bramble xxx

re; Delias cheats only had the book two weeks cant stop using it. Just made for the third time lazy summer soup best soup ever.Ive made the trifle,shepherds pie ,steak and kidney,banana bread etc etc.Please carry on delia with more. abbey166

When I read the sad reviews Delia's Cheat book had, I was astounded that people could take it so the wrong way!
I have made so many of the recipes now, and have loved everyone. Good for you Delia!

Must say I haven't seen the book as I am not really interested personally but I believe such a book has a real and important place. Many don't have the time to do more than pretty much the basics, perhaps have never had an opportunity to cook and don't know how to start and people like Uncle Bubbles who can no longer cook as they would like. Even if it is not for you, don't knock it - it will be valuable to others.

Dear Loula,
You really should have a look at the book. Even if it's only at the supermarket and you don't buy it. It's a great little read and brimmming with ideas. Even the most sophisticated cook will find a little gem in it.

Yes, I do want to take a look - it is just I work full-time and am pretty busy with other things at the weekend to get to the shops. I think Delia is great bringing this out.
