Samcat,

I have tried the Bhuna Gosht (lamb curry), simple chicken curry and her naan bread is brilliant. Both curries were lovely.

hi meatloaf - i made the bhuna gosht last night (couldn't wait for the weekend) trouble is i made it for one and scaled the ingredients down. don't think there was quite enough spice in (oh and i omitted the garlic due to a breakfast meeting this morning.) it bubbled away nicely though and visually it looked likethe most authentic curry i've ever been able to produce. i'll try it again when my OH is home and I don't have a meeting early the next morning! it was extremley simple to make though...i'd recommend the method. x x

Samcat,

I think home cooking the indian way is generally not as spicey as the brits like it. I tend to add a little more spice, sorry should have let you know.

i think it also had a lot to do with trying to scale down a tsp of spice into a 1/4 teaspoon of spice! will maybe over spice next time a little and see what happens. will defo be making again though as I loved the way it cooked!!!

think i might try the naan as well next time...

This is one of my favourite sites. It is mainly vegetarian, but has so many recipes using unusual ingredients. Lovely site, and very knowlegeably written. You can put your e-mail add on it and get an update everytime a new recipe is added.

Just had a minute to look at these, ML. Many thanks for sharing with us.

I will have a go at the chicken curry next time I make one. It has fresh tomatoes and not too much spice in it, so OH will devour that.

crumbs :-)
