Has anyone used these please ?
Just thought I would ask before trying.
All info. appreciated.
Thanks,helenb.
Can you enlighten me, please, what are soap nuts?
Hello nenna,
I have just stumbled over these on a 'looking after environment ' website and they are special nut cases that you put in the washing machine instead of powder and they release a substance that cleans your clothes very economically without harming the environment and also leave your clothes lovely and soft eliminating any need for soft rinse etc. Lakeland Ltd. sell them so there is info on their website.
Thanks for replying,helenb.
Helen - I hope somebody answers you - as I have often wondered about these myself.
Isn`t it something to do with the friction of them are suppose to clean the laundry without detergent?
I haven't used them but google "it's not easy being green" and have a look on their forums - there were loads of soap nut postings. Someone there will definately be able to help you.
Haha, I must have been having a senior moment, not unusual, I have some of these myself ! I didn't know they were called soap nuts!! I must admit i've only used them a couple of times, if I 'm low on washing liquid I tend to use them but I really haven't done a comparative test with them against the usual washing liquid or soap. Old habits die hard as they say and I automatically reach for the Liquid stuff although I do try to be as green as possible and save the environment if I can. I must try and consciously use them and report back on my results. By the way I bought mine at Lakeland.
