Austria is currently making some of the finest dry whites in the world and Johann is a man on a mission, carving out a formidable reputation for concentrated, mineral-laden whites. From a tiny 5-hectare vineyard, his pale green-yellow Grüner Veltliner has a delicate nose but delivers mature apple & spice. Crisp acidity to cut creamy, buttery sauces and racy, lemony on the finish, this is an ideal wine to start with the soup and then continue equally well to complement the herbs and lemon of the chicken.
