Wine for the vegetarian menu
This menu is a rather tricky one for wine matching, as it contains both creamy and acidic foods in the same dish. However, we have a few good suggestions...
This vegetarian menu is quite a challenge to match with wines. In both the starter and the main course, acidic vegetables are teamed with creamy dips, feta cheese and crème fraiche. However, New World Sauvignon Blanc would be a good bet, as would Chablis. Crisp white Burgundy or Pinot Grigio, and refreshing Muscadet would also complement these dishes well.
With the ice cream, Muscats, Riesling and Sauternes would all work well, but if you are feeling adventurous, you could also try a nutty medium sherry, as this would be a good combination with the pistachio nuts.
