Wine for the low-fat menu
This menu features light foods, all with an acidic element, which means just one thing...
Given that a glass of wine adds to your calorific inake (about 160 calories to be exact!), you might have decided to eschew wine altogether with the low-fat menu!
However, if you insist, we can only suggest that you try a grassy, acidic wine. Sauvignon Blanc is the obvious choice, preferably from New Zealand, but Verdelho, or Vinho Verde would also fit the bill, as the wine will need to be able to deal with citrus fruit, lemon juice and salad.
Other options include a New World Chardonnay, or a Riesling, which has a softness that partners salads well.
