Summer at Wagamama: new pan-Asian menu to enjoy!
Wagamama’s new summer menu combines all the old favourites with a few new dishes. We enjoyed tebasaki – slow-roasted chicken wings glazed with spicy pan-Asian barbecue sauce and a real highlight was teriyaki chicken donburi: grilled chicken glazed with orange teriyaki sauce, sticky white rice with thin slices carrots, pea shoots, spring onions and sesame seeds and a side of spicy kimchee.
The only disappointing dish was the sama salad, with chicken, prawns or tofu - a not-very-Asian mixture of tomatoes, avocado, caramelised red onions on a bed of pea shoots with crunchy wheat ramen noodles – hard work to chomp through.
Desserts were intriguing, especially the apple and yam tart: yum! And of course don’t forget the raw mix – a juice of carrot, cucumber, orange, tomato and apple, which is a brilliant way of getting at least 3 of your five a day in one glass! Visit www.wagamama.co.uk
