On the ball, City!
Only a handful of clubs have ever done it... but now Norwich City has joined the illustrious ranks of those football teams that have leapfrogged from League One to the Premiership in consecutive seasons – an incredible achievement and all testament to the skill and dedication of manager Paul Lambert and his team.
On 10 May, the city had an opportunity to show its appreciation: tens of thousands of City fans joined in the Premier League promotion parade in Norwich city centre.
Many packed in around the front of City Hall to hear interviews with key figures from the Football Club and see the players hold aloft the promotion trophy on the balcony overlooking the Memorial Gardens.
The players then left the building on a Premier League branded open-topped bus where they were greeted by thousands of people decked in yellow and green along the parade route.
The parade followed a civic reception at City Hall for the manager and players, after which they appeared on the balcony to salute the fans wanting to share in their success.
