Food and drink news: December 2012

Believe it or not, it really is time to start thinking about Christmas, and we have some ideas to get you in the festive mood particularly if you are shopping for presents online this year or want to have home delivery.

Put the kettle on...

When you’re worn out with Christmas shopping, settle down to a nice cup of Twinings Christmas Tea, one of their new festive flavours, combining full-bodied black tea from Assam with cinnamon and cloves, to create a perfect blend for a cold afternoon. There are two more flavours completing a set of three winter tin caddies, indulgent Vanilla Chai, and Warming Winter Infusion

All three teas are available in 100g loose tea caddies at Waitrose, Ocado and Twinings online. The range is also available in tea bag caddies from Tesco nationwide. For your local stockist visit Twinings

Keep things hot on Christmas Day

Relieve the stress of juggling times, carving the turkey and keeping everything hot with a Judge Thermal Gravy Pot. This smart shiny pot has a clever double wall to ensure the temperature is maintained and will keep your gravy piping hot until you are ready to serve dinner. It can also be used to keep milk; cream and custard cool as well!

Judge Thermal Gravy Pot is available from Amazon and Harts of Stur

Cheers!

Harveys Pedro Ximinez (PX) sweet sherry with dried fruit notes and soft spicy flavours makes it a perfect partner to sip while enjoying Christmas pudding and mince pies. It’s also a great present for any food lovers on your Christmas list, Harveys PX produced from PX grapes, grown and blended using the traditional method at its bodegas in Jerez, with an average age of at least 30 years.
