What's on at Delia's Canary Catering?
The September to December Events List is out! Here at Delia’s Canary Catering, we produce a quarterly Events List, which is mailed to approximately 30,000 Norwich City season ticket holders and customers. The events vary from Big, BIG Cheese Party Nights to Sunday Carveries with Father Christmas!
Putting together the Events List can be a lengthy process! We have to work around other people’s schedules and the football fixtures and finalising the information for the events is sometimes left until the day the Events List goes to print – as we found out!
When thinking about what events to put on, we make sure that we have something to suit all tastes and ages and try and deliver new, exciting events as well as the old favourites. Some of the new events we are holding at Norwich City are Classic Cluedo Murder Mystery and An Evening with the Hairy Bikers – both of which, we are very excited about and seem to be popular. Due to the Hairy Bikers busy schedules, we have not yet been able to confirm the date – all we know is that it will be in February and we already have an ever-growing wait list, which is very encouraging! One of our biggest struggles is thinking how we are going to improve on the events we have put on in the past, like our 2008 New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball, however we think we have pulled it out of the bag with this year’s New Year’s Eve White Tie Snow Ball, complete with white Cocktails and a white chocolate fountain!
Obviously, at Delia’s Canary Catering, the food aspect of all events is priority to ensure that we deliver our highest standards. When we have decided on an event, we hand over all information to Delia’s chefs so that they can create one of their delicious menus from Delia’s recipes. The menu for all events is key when trying to sell, as our food has such a fantastic reputation, so this stage can sometimes take the longest as Delia’s chefs always aim to design a menu that is in keeping with the event and audience. This is especially important for our themed Wine Tours as each of the four-courses is matched to the wines being discussed by wine expert Graham Donaldson.
After all of this organisation, proof reading and printing, the Events List has finally started to drop on our customer’s doorsteps resulting in lots of bookings! We’ll give ourselves a couple of week’s rest and then make a start on the next one…and we have just heard the brilliant news that Delia will hopefully be joining us in 2010 for six Food and Wine Workshops – watch this space!
