And everyone will eat peaches and cream’ so the historical quote says. But if Duncan Glendinning and Patrick Ryan have anything to do with it, they would much prefer we ate bread. 

Bread Revolution follows their passion for bread making, as they call us to arms and urge us to ‘rise up against the bagged, the boring, the bland and the tasteless’. Starting right at the beginning of bread making, there is information on all the essential equipment, and basic ingredients needed to get you started.

With over 65 recipes beginning with Everyday White Bread the book encourages the reader to gain confidence, and move on to bagels, fougasse and soda bread. There is also have a sweet chapter, which includes, raisin rolls, hot cross buns, and jam doughnuts. Accompaniments to go with bread are also included, Salmon Tartare, Ham Hock Terrine, even Chicken Curry to go with their flatbread!

Duncan and Patrick write in a relaxed way, Bread Revolution is bound to appeal to the experienced bread maker and the novice alike.
