A Fourth of July American Barbecue
Even non-Americans will claim some allegiance to the Stars and Stripes when they see what's in this tantalising summer barbecue menu for 8. There's Caesar Salad, invented on the Fourth of July apparently and juicy burgers with salsa. Barbecue some corn on the cob to go with it all then, to finish, enjoy Delia's wonderfully easy Key Lime Pie. Accompany it with Debbie Owen's refreshing iced tea and you've got a transatlantic treat in store!
What to drink with barbecue food

And to drink...
| The British may be experts at making and serving tea, but when it comes to iced tea the Americans have the edge. It must be the most refreshing drink to serve when the weather is hot and humid. I first tasted this version at my friends the Owens' Fourth of July party several years ago and have been addicted to it ever since. Like a non-alcoholic Pimm's, it's perfect for drivers. |
