Having just loaded my latest Italy digi pics into the computer, it occurred to me that I really ought to have them backed up somewhere - but where? What do you guys do? In the event of a crash - - - ooh, it doesn't bear thinking about!

Back them up to an external drive / CD / DVD disc. There are websites that allow you to backup your files online but i don't like the thought of that for privacy and security reasons.
I burn mine to CD from time to time, but even CDs don't last for ever, so you need to reburn occasionally. External hard drives are good, but they occasionally fail, so copy to the drive so that if one fails you still have the other.
upload your photos to http://www.flickr.com/. Its free and easy and if your house burns down - you can just check them out online! Anywhere! :)
Keep them on a Data Traveller or Memory Stick (not sure what you call them over there. Just as small as a key ring all your pics can be put on there and it will hold an enormous amount of data. They are only as big as a small key ring and are amazing little gadgets. We paid about £14.00 for ours from the UK from Kingston and it holds 4gb of memory.
Can really recommend it, as it is so easy to transport and use on other PCs, you just need a USB Port.
Hope this helps, Elpe.
Yummy
Hi Elpe. transfer mine to a CD or my son has a small hard drive that you can transfer and save everything on your computer to. I think it cost about 50 quid and so everything is backed up, photos, documents etc. Also useful if you change your computer.

I keep mine on a CD as well as a memory (USB) stick.
Thanks for your replies, folks. I went out today and bought a 4GB memory stick! Going to be busy!
