Does anyone know the best way to do this ?
I'm having a BBQ this afternoon (along with most of the population it seems!) and I'm not sure what is entails.
thanks :)
Here's an easy peasy lemon squeezy quick way.
Wrap each corn in wet kitchen roll. I give two 4 minutes in the microwave on full. Then OH brushes them lightly with oil and finishes them off on the barbecue.
Hope it's not too late for you. Save me a chop!!

Hi, we place the cobs still in their leaves directly on the BBQ griddle, loosening an opening to peer in. The corn changes colour when it is cooked. Or, place peeled cobs in simmering water for 6 mins, drain and slather in butter. Biggs
Thank you both. No it's not too late yet, I'm not cooking til 6.
I'm not sure which method to use! I think a combination of both - I'll boil them then oil and bbq them. They don't have their leaves you see.
I should have said to take off all the leaves before you wrap and microwave them.
It makes it easier to finish them off on the barbecue when everyone's there and you have to balance a prodder and a large glass!
I know this will be too late, but perhaps you'll try this next time. I just brush mine with toasted sesame seed oil and do them on the barbie grill and they're super.
Honey :-x
Honey, Just bought some toasted sesame seed oil; must try your way.
