Those pesky Rabbits have two whole rows of cabbages and substantial portion Broad beans and a couple of Asparagus plants. Will have to get out there and reinforce the defences this evening!!! Viv xx

Oh NO poor Viv, the little beggars!
My caulis will keel over soon if I don't get them out, we're going to try making individual cloches out of chicken wire.
We have bought a rabbit trap but they won't go in!

My neighbour says Monsieur Lapin est tres intelligent. Huh not much comfort to me. We are thinking about mines now, that Asparagus was very precious!! Viv xx

You have to dig the wire down into the soil Viv :0)
Our neighbour, 10 miles up the road, still has all his stuff. Well, he did have certainly up to Sunday.

PS our immediate neighbour is well chuffed, he 'bagged' a mole on Saturday, I think he has planted mines !!!

Afternoon Biggs, they really are a nuisance. We did dig the chicken wire down but obviously not far enough and OH is in the garden now remedying that and he has a trailer full of large stones to put round the edges, not very aesthetic but necessary! Viv xx

The asparagus will keep sprouting Viv, it's its nature:-)))
Mine got the same savaging by slugs last year, but just ignored it and carried on :-)))

They have eaten all the carrots at the entrance to the trap, but not gone in for the rest! Tres intelligent, bien sur!

Mais oui! We have had another unravaged night so are hoping for the best. Nice moment this morning though, whilst walking the dogs, as we crossed the river a large deer swum across. It was a lovely sight. Viv xx
