Chocolate melting here I come!
Sheelagh...

Sammy
My egg moulds have just arrived.......
I want to make them now......when is Easter anyway????
Sam
hey sheelagh,
what sort of chocolate are you thinking of using, I thought of jkuist buying a huge slab of dairy milk, and bournville. ie "normal chocolate" its for youngsters you see, and sometimes they don;t like "fancy" choc like green and blacks and lindt. I thought about doing white chocolate too, but seeing as i HATE white chocolate, i have no idea what to get other than milky bars.
Sammy
Hi Sam
They came nice and quickly!
I was just thinking of a big slab of dairy milk. Though was in "Poundland" today and they had some large bars of Toblerone for just a pound each - so thought I might go back and get one or two of those.
Did you get the bags too? If not - I have 30 and only need about half a dozen or so, so could easily send some down to you if you wanted me to.
good friday is march21.
cakes
Shee,
I didn't get bags (i did see them though) i brought pretty cake boxes, 6 for £2.99 in the smallest size and the middle size (also 6 for £2.99) they are white with pretty gold swirls on them, and with gold "cakeboards" the egg mould that i got, fits into the small one, so i can get that "straw" and make the egg look like its in a nest with oher goodies in it.
Am glad to read your also using a big slab of cadburys too, phew.
Thanks Cakes for the date, must get some choccy soon and have a practice (OH has just informed me - he wants one too!!)
Love Sammy
I didn't see the boxes - but I also got some green and yellow "straw" from another shop! - Plan to but the eggs in the bags, tie them up with some pretty ribbon and then nestle them and some of the little Lindt eggs and bunnies in a basket filled with the straw. My children are 16 and 18 and my partner thinks I'm mad!
Sorry to be replying so late to a discussion.... however most interested to read about packaging own-made eggs. On the route of natural and 'green' , I wondered if rafia would do as a 'straw' substitute? probably available in garden centres at the moment.
Sam, Worthing are the 'pretty little cake boxes' also from Lakeland?
yes dragon fly they are.
Sam
This sounds fun. Is cheating out of fashion? I'm a spoil sport I'm afraid because I shall be buying mine.
