Dear All,
(I posted this on the 'can you help' forum too, not sure which one was the right one)
I love making pies and I've got one of those dishes where the whole bottom comes out and you are supposed to push from below when the pie is cooked to lift it out (Does this make sense?)
Trouble is, it never quite works and I always get pie falling to pieces.
I'd welcome any recommendations for a good, practical pie dish that I can buy.
many thanks.
Hello, I would have thought that a loose-bottomed dish isn't very practical for a pie. As you may get all the juices slopping out of the bottom into the oven. I have a lovely Le Creuset shallow dish, which is great for pies, it's well worth the outlay, they are useful for all sorts of things. Have a look on their site. Maybe they do mail order, but I am sure you would be able to have a look at the range at a reputable department store's homeware department.
