mushroom soup

with crusty bread as it is quite a rustic soup
Ingredients
1 medium finely chopped onion, 1 chopped clove of garlic,1/2 a container of economy mushrooms plus similar amount of mixed mushrooms [you could use all the same type],2 soup spoons of flour,600 ml veg/chicken stock,milk, grating of nutmeg, salt and pepper,oil/butter to fry,
Method
fry onion and garlic til softened chop the mushrooms and add to the onions and cook til soft.stir in the flour and nutmeg.Add the stock slowly stirring all the time. Bring to the boil and simmer covered for about 20 mins. Add milk to dilute i used about 1/2 pint i guess you could add cream if wishedRecipe images are not uploaded yet.
