Microwave Chicken Liver and Mushroom Pâté

A lovely and easy pâté - very similar to what you get in restaurants/pubs.



  • 4oz/100g bacon - 
  • 2oz/50g butter - 
  • 1 onion, chopped - 
  • 7oz/200g chicken livers, sliced - 
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed - 
  • 4oz/100g mushrooms, quartered - 
  • 1 level tsp mixed herbs - 
  • seasoning to taste


Combine all ingredients in a large lidded microwaveable bowl. Cook on high for 3-5 mins. Take out of the microwave and stir. Adjust to MEDIUM heat for 9-11mins. Take out of the microwave and leave to cool. When cool, blend until smooth or to the consistency you like. Pot and chill for several hours or overnight.
