Starters are an important part of any meal as they set the scene for the culinary delights to come, and get the appetite going! You've submitted some real corkers - all well worth a look!
First tasted at a friends dinner party, I often make it with either Sweet Potatoes or Pumpkin instead of the Butternut Squash.

Simple pate that tastes superb, try it with toast, then try not to a bit more !!
The addition of the carrot makes this tomato soup a lovely thick, creamy soup, but without adding any cream.
This soup is really tasty and very easy to make.
A tomato soup that knocks spots off the tinned varieties! Try adding 1 roasted red pepper, skinned and pips removed just prior to liquidising. Also nice is 3oz goats cheese added again prior to liquidising.

I love making soup; nourishing and can be used for lunch, starter or supper; with bread, butter cheese; cheap to make and can be frozen
