aunt almas oven bbq pork chops

if the smell hasn't gotten u by now remove chops pour sauce in gravy cup serve wmashed potatoes and green beans in balsamic vinegar enjoy



6 extra thick pork chops,2 onions sliced in circles,cooking oil in skillet,3c water,2c catsup,1/8 tsp chili powder,1 tsp celery seed,1 tblsp vinegar,2 tsp worcestershire sauce,1/2 tsp paprika,2 bay leafs,1/2 tsp nutmeg,,,


in skillet w/little oil brown pork chops which u salt and peppered remove and drain. place in dutch oven place sliced onions on top cover chops almost completely
w/water, salt/pepper, bake in 350o oven for 1 hr. drain most but not all water from chops, starting w/catsup
place all ingredients in bowl and stir, cover w/this sauce
pour just on top of water don't stir yet, bake 30 min
now stir water into sauce and baste chops bake about 30 min more
