Cheese and Potato Pie

This is a simple yet wonderful dish that can be used as a main meal, or for supper.

 
 
 
 

Ingredients

6 large Potato's, 1 large onion, 1lb cheddar cheese, parsley, salt, black  pepper, milk, butter, tomato

 

 

Method

Peel and boil the potatos in salted water, til cooked, peel and chop the onion, and boil in a small saucepan

while they are boiling, grate the cheese, and cut up the tomato julienne style, this will be used as a garnish.

Mash the potato using some butter and milk until creamy, and a little ground black pepper to taste, Stir in the oinions until mixed in, then add about 3/4 of the cheese keeping enough to cover the top, stir  the cheese in til thoroughly mixed in.

put the mix into a greased oven proof dish

Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top and put the tomato on top. cook in the oven at 150c until cheese sdtarts to bubble. Garnish with the parsley and serve hot

Options, add some fried and chopped bacon to the mix before putting in oven proof dish.
