Cheese Puddng

I often made this in the 60's and 70's and it's still occasionally

enjoyed today by my family.



1 pint milk

2 oz butter

4 oz breadcrumbs

4 oz strong grated cheese

salt and cayenne pepper

2 eggs (separated)




Heat the milk, add the butter and let it melt.

Add the breadcrumbs, cheese and seasoning and mix well.Cool Slightly.

Mix in the beaten egg yolks.

Whisk the egg whites to a stiff froth and lightly fold into the cheese mixture.

Turn into a greased pie dish and bake in oven 200 C 180 Fan, or Gas 6 for aprox. 20 mins until firm to touch.
