Buttered roast chicken with garlic in a slo-cooker

it's good with roast pots and green beans



1 lemon cut into quarters, 4 garlic cloves, 4 lb. roasting chicken, 4 tbsp. olive oil, 4 oz butter, 3 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley, 4 tbsp. dry white vermouth ( optional )


(1) push the lemon pieces and one clove of garlic into chicken cavity. cut the remaining garlic into slivers
(2) heat the oil and the butter in a large frying pan, and quickly brown the chicken on all sides and transfer to the slo-cooker
(3) stir the garlic slivers, parsley,vermouth into the remaining butter in the pan, then pour over the chicken, scraping out every last drop.
cook on high for 4-5 hours.
